Closing the skills gap, one opportunity at a time.

Over the next decade, a wave of baby boomers is set to retire out of the manufacturing workforce, taking with them decades of experience and critical expertise. This presents an enormous challenge for the industry. But it also provides an enormous opportunity for the next generation of workers.

With the right training and connections, the options for young workers and engineers entering the manufacturing workforce today are nearly endless. The first-ever M&T Career Day, powered by the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, is giving these workers a jump start on their journey.

The free, one-day event connects young engineers, professionals, veterans and laborers to high demand placement and training opportunities across the local North Carolina manufacturing industry.

Attendees of the M&T Career Day will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with local companies that are hiring now
  • Network with industry leaders and manufacturing professionals
