Description

This session will explore the technology-driven safety journey of Moss Construction Partners in reducing injuries and illnesses to an impressive TRIR of 0.44 and an LTIR of 0.15 during a substantial $2 billion growth in annual revenue. Protecting employee health and improving worker safety are “table-stakes” for the safety practitioner and an area where technology can have a significant impact. The Moss experience shows how digitizing and centralizing the collection of information and connecting workers using technology in real-time provides a path to better decision making and a safer work environment. Scott Gerard, Vice President, Environmental, Health & Safety for Moss Construction Partners, and Scott Gaddis, Vice President and Practice Lead of Safety and Health, will discuss how Moss utilizes a technology partnership with Intelex to manage their complex safety management system successfully. Points of discussion for this presentation will include understanding the Safety Management System in leveraging process growth, the best use of technology to manage active locations within a corporate enterprise, and how the SMS program is fueled by a technology platform. Ideas for prescriptive programming like safety engagement scoring and employee engagement through technology tools will also be discussed.
