Description

For more than a year, companies have required employees take additional safety measures because of COVID-19, notably wearing masks. There has been high compliance in manufacturing environments with this extremely uncomfortable PPE requirement, so why do we still have problems with employees wearing a seatbelt while on the fork truck? To better understand the answer to this question, Dawn Kazoleas of Holistic Resources and Salvador Roman of Shur-Lok Company, a manufacturer of aerospace components, will review how the mask wearing requirement was communicated, enforced and perceived by employees to learn how safety professionals might replicate this success with wearing seatbelts and other safety practices.
